About the role
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse & Logistics Manager + Truck/Forklift Driver to join our team at our Auburn NSW facility on a full-time basis. This is a unique hybrid role that combines senior warehouse and logistics management responsibilities with hands-on truck driving duties. You will play a strategic role in overseeing our warehouse operations whilst maintaining an active presence in the field, ensuring seamless coordination between our logistics operations and delivery services. This position is essential to our operational success and requires someone who can manage both the bigger picture and the day-to-day execution of our transport and logistics functions.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee all warehouse operations, including inventory management, stock rotation, receiving and storing material
- Coordinate logistics activities to optimise routes and delivery schedules
- Conduct regular truck driving duties, including transporting material
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly relevant to warehouse and transport operations
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records and documentation systems
What we're looking for
- Valid Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) truck driving licence
- Experience in warehouse management or logistics coordination, with forklift experience.
- Substantial truck driving experience, demonstrating safe and professional vehicle operation
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities with the ability to motivate and develop staff
- Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to warehouse and transport operations
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks associated with warehouse operations
- Flexibility to work full-time hours, which may include early starts and overtime when required
