Position: Room Leader (Responsible Person) in 0-2 years old/baby room
Status: Permanent Part-time - 3 days per week
Salary range: $45.32 per hour (inclusive of all allowances/loadings + Worker Retention Payment), plus super

One Tree Yera Children's Service is located on the BITTE campus in the unique community of Batchelor. It is 1 hour south of Darwin and on the doorstep of the adventure-filled Litchfield National Park. This small and tight-knit service will be your home-away-from-home, it welcomes families from Batchelor and students from remote communities.

You'll make lasting connections with children, families, and your fellow educators. Children have an abundance of nature-based learning with the outdoor yard hosting cascades of waterfalls and exploration opportunities.

Selection criteria

- Minimum two (2) years' experience in a room leader role or above
- Strong knowledge of child development and theories relating to children's learning
- Communication skills and ability to lead a team
- Evidence of having contributed to assessment and rating at meeting or exceeding level




- Develop and evaluate high quality programs for children in line with recognised frameworks
- Ability to advocate for children's rights and role model positive relationships with children

Requirements

- Eligible to work in Australia and willing to relocate to Batchelor
- Hold a Diploma in Early Childhood/ACECQA approved equivalent or working towards
- Current NT Working with Children Check
- Current National Police Clearance
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate or willing to obtain
- Foundations of Child Safety Training
