The Bydee design team is expanding! We are looking for a Design Assistant to support across our categories, including swimwear, jewellery & our growing ready-to-wear category.

Design Support

- Create and update CADs, technical sketches, artwork briefs and design packs following Senior Designer handovers.
- Prepare initial hardware briefs and support with the design of custom trims.
- Maintain seasonal range pages across all product categories.
- Assist with print and strike-off reviews, documenting comments for Senior Designer approval.
- Support with the preparation of design documentation for the wider team, including product features and benefits.

Administration

- Maintain accurate CAD libraries, design files and seasonal documentation.
- Keep seasonal folders, fabrics, trims and sample libraries organised and up to date.
- Assist with meeting preparation and note-taking, documenting updates required following fittings and design reviews.
- Support critical path deadlines through accurate and timely administration.
- Support with communicating design updates, artwork changes and print requirements to suppliers and internal teams.

Trend and Market Research

- Source reference imagery to support emerging trends and initial design concepts.
- Assist with creating sourcing briefs to hand over to team.
- Assist in preparing mood boards and sourcing briefs for the wider team.





Collaboration

- Work closely with the Design, Product Development and Production teams.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with suppliers when required.
- Provide support across the wider Design team as needed.

Experience:

- Minimum one year of experience in a Design Assistant or similar fashion design role.
- Proficiency across Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
- Strong CAD and technical sketching skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- An understanding and interest in learning garment construction, fabrics, trims, prints and production processes.
- Strong organisational skills.
- A qualification in Fashion Design, Textiles or a related discipline is preferred.
