About the Role
Fabricate and weld large structural steel components in well-organised Perth workshops — across southern and northern metro locations. Work alongside experienced tradespeople in a close-knit, family-style team. Report to the Workshop Supervisor and contribute to workflow coordination and quality standards on the floor. Multiple long-term, full-time positions available now.
Duties
- Fabricate and weld heavy structural steel components to engineering specifications
- Operate MIG and TIG welding equipment to a high standard
- Interpret workshop and engineering drawings; set up jigs and fixtures
- Collaborate with the Supervisor to coordinate floor workflow and quality
- Maintain safety standards and support a productive workshop environment
Skills & Experience
- Trade qualification in Boilermaking / Fabrication (essential)
- Proven heavy structural steel fabrication experience (essential)
- Pipe fitting experience and competent MIG & TIG welding skills
- Ability to read engineering drawings and work autonomously
- Full Australian working rights; currently based in Perth, WA
