The opportunity
Di Candilo Steel City is seeking an experienced Laser Operator to join our growing production team. This is a hands-on role operating laser cutting machines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

About the Role

Reporting to the Laser Leading Hand, your responsibilities will include:

- Operating CNC laser cutting machines.

- Loading and unloading steel plate.

- Selecting the correct material and ensuring traceability.

- Performing quality checks on finished components.

- Carrying out daily machine maintenance and housekeeping.

- Working safely while meeting production targets.

- Assisting with other workshop duties as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:





- Previous experience operating CNC laser, plasma or profile cutting machines (preferred).

- Experience in a steel fabrication or manufacturing environment.

- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (preferred).

- A strong work ethic with a willingness to learn.

- Excellent attention to detail.

- A commitment to workplace safety and quality.

- A forklift licence (essential).
