About True Living
True Living is a Sydney-based NDIS provider dedicated to helping people with disability live independently, safely and with dignity in their own homes and communities. We deliver person-centred support that puts each participant's goals, choices and wellbeing first, guided by the NDIS Practice Standards and Code of Conduct. Our support workers are the heart of what we do, reliable, compassionate people who show up and genuinely care.
The Role
We're growing our team of Support Workers across Sydney. The successful applicant will need adaptable availability, including weekends, evenings, public holidays and overnight shifts.
You will support NDIS participants with:
- Domestic Assistance
- Personal Care
- Meal Preparation
- Community Access
All other aspects of daily living as per their NDIS Plan
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, eating and personal hygiene, using the principles of active support.
- Support individuals to use their preferred method of communication, ensuring they are heard, understood and responded to at all times.
- Work effectively with people who have high physical support needs and/or behaviours of concern, applying manual handling assessments and behaviour support plans in line with True Living policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation,
records and data collection in accordance with relevant legislation and True Living policies.
- Communicate and collaborate with team members to ensure a consistent, high-quality approach to service delivery.
Mandatory Requirements
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, Home and Community Care, or Mental Health (or working towards / willing to obtain) — industry experience or lived experience also considered
- Current COVID-19 vaccination certificate
- Valid NSW driver's licence, reliable vehicle and comprehensive car insurance
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) for paid roles (or willing to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check / National Police Check (or willing to obtain)
- Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Modules (or willing to obtain)
- A smartphone with internet access, able to download our rostering app
- Proof of vaccination
