PERSOL is partnering with a global mining client to hire a Data Engineer to join its Systems team.
In this role, you will develop and enhance a suite of software applications and data platforms that support mine planning and other Technical Services functions.
Responsibilities
Contribute to core development of the data platformDesign and build scalable, reusable dbt models and macrosDevelop and maintain data pipelines using dbt-core in SnowflakeRefactor and optimize existing codebase for performance, scalability, and maintainabilityWrite clean, well-documented, and effective code following best practices.Collaborate with team members through code reviews and technical discussionsTroubleshoot data issues and optimize query performance in Snowflake
Required
Strong proficiency in SQL, dbt (core), Snowflake, and Python.1+ Years of experience.Strong data modelling experience in Data Vault & Dimensional ModellingBasic familiarity with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a highly quick-paced setting
