Adelaide
is growing their engineering and production teams and is now hiring an
Electronic Technician
to support the build and test of advanced systems used in defence and aerospace applications.
In this role, you'll be responsible for hands-on assembly, testing, and wiring of electronic subsystems.
You'll work alongside engineers and other technicians to bring prototype and production hardware to life in a quick-paced, practical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble and test electronic components, harnesses, and subassemblies
Perform soldering, crimping, and connector work to a high standard
Support the build and troubleshooting of prototype systems
Read and follow assembly instructions, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings
Maintain a tidy and organised workspace, tools, and test equipment
Work closely with engineers to support R&D; and production activities
Requirements:
Hands-on experience with electronics assembly and wiring
Valuable soldering skills and familiarity with cable harnessing techniques
Ability to read basic schematics or assembly drawings
Comfortable working in a lab or workshop setting
Solid attention to detail and quality of work
Australian citizenship
Desirable but not mandatory:
Background in avionics, automotive, or defence electronics
IPC certification or similar training in soldering or cable assembly
Familiarity with testing tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, or power supplies
