Eric Child & Sons is a small family owned and operated business specialising in land clearing, green waste management and mulching which offers a friendly work environment and down-to-earth culture, and full time hours (initially casual). We require an enthusiastic person with an excellent work ethic and a positive attitude to be a part of our team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to carry out the essential duties satisfactory.
Operate heavy combination trucks in compliance with company safety policies and procedures
Operate walking floor semi-trailers and low loader trailers as required
Operate heavy equipment in compliance with company safety policies and procedures
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
Follow appropriate standard operating procedures for secure vehicle and plant operation and maintenance
Perform other assigned minor tasks
Qualifications




Education and Experience:
General Safety Card (Construction Induction) required
Certificates, Licences, Registrations or Other Requirements:
Heavy Combination Driver Licence - must be competent in driving a manual truck
Excavator Ticket required
Work Setting
Primarily field or holding yard-based work
Requires motor coordination and dexterity for vehicle and machine operation most of the day
Physical effort required when handling objects and materials
Exposure to occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, chemicals, etc) but rarely
Exposure to workplace which involves dirt, odours, noise, and weather extremes
Must be fit for the role
