We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and resilient
Rosterer / Care Scheduler
to join our Cairns office. In this fast-paced role, you will efficiently match our participants' support plans with the right Support Workers.
You will manage day-to-day schedule changes, cover urgent shift vacancies, and ensure accurate data entry for billing and payroll.
Key Responsibilities
Effective Scheduling:
Build and optimize master rosters for a team of Support Workers, ensuring participant preferences, support needs, and staff skills are perfectly matched.
Incident & Change Management:
Respond quickly to last-minute cancellations, staff sick leave, and emergency shift coverage.
Compliance & Care:
Monitor staff rosters to prevent fatigue, ensuring strict adherence to the SCHADS Award guidelines and NDIS quality standards.
Stakeholder Communication:
Maintain skilled, empathetic communication with participants, families, support coordinators, and support staff regarding roster updates.
System Administration:
Maintain complete accuracy within
ShiftCare
to guarantee seamless backend data processing for NDIS billing, invoicing, and weekly payroll.
Skills and Experience




Software Requirement:
Proven, hands-on experience utilizing
ShiftCare
for roster creation, shift publishing, and workforce tracking is preferred.
Industry Experience:
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a scheduling, rostering, or coordination role within the NDIS, Aged Care, or Community Services sector preferred.
Award Knowledge:
Working knowledge of the
SCHADS Award
(highly regarded).
Problem Solving:
Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to remain calm and analytical under pressure.
Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
Mandatories (or willing to obtain)
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card / Blue Card)
Current Australian Driver's License
