Lawnch is a rapid-growing commercial, corporate, R&D; and grants firm in Burleigh Heads. We help founders and businesses move further, faster - and we do things differently to get there.
We're looking for a final-year law student or recent graduate who wants exposure to real clients and real matters before they step into practice - not a filing job with a legal veneer.
This role is based full-time in our Burleigh Heads office, though we're open to full-time or part-time arrangements depending on your study load.
What is it like working at Lawnch?
"Joining Lawnch has been an amazing experience. From day one, the culture is supportive, collaborative and genuinely invested in your growth. You're not just a number - you're part of a team building something."
Sophie, Lawyer
What you will be doing
You'll be the first point of contact for recent clients - managing enquiries, running onboarding, and working directly with our Director and legal team to triage and progress opportunities. You'll see how a modern professional services firm actually wins and keeps work. You'll also help us build and improve the systems behind that - because a firm this size doesn't hand you a perfect process, you help create it.
Yes, there's admin in it.
Every high-performing team has some. But it's in service of a clear pathway into our corporate and commercial legal team, not a dead end.
About you
You're in the infancy of your legal career, but you don't think or operate like it. You are hungry to excel and want to get a jump start on your legal career.
You are will be a fit if you:
are in your final year of a law degree, or a recent graduate
communicate well on the phone and build rapport fast
are organised, but comfortable in a quick-paced environment
act without waiting to be told
are genuinely curious about how businesses operate, and
pick up new systems quickly.
Why this role over a standard graduate role
Most graduate pathways keep you away from clients for years. This one doesn't.
You'll get direct exposure to founders and commercial matters from day one, and an opportunity to learn the parts law school never teaches you, without the pressure of billing.
