Disability Support Worker - Expression of Interest
As a Disability Support Worker in Melton, Victoria, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. This temporary, casual position requires a compassionate and dedicated skilled who can provide support in various settings, including Supported Independent Living (SIL) and in-home care. Your contributions will ensure that clients can access their communities and participate in social activities, fostering independence and dignity.
Responsibilities:
Support an ASD child by providing care and assistance with daily activities.
Assist with cleaning and laundry tasks to maintain a protected and hygienic setting.
Provide respite for parents, allowing them time to rest and recharge.
Facilitate community access and social participation for clients.




Encourage and support clients in developing independent living skills.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure comprehensive care.
Document and report on client progress and any concerns to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Certificate III in Disability Support or related field
Diploma in Community Services
Experience in the disability support sector
Experience in Supported Independent Living (SIL) and in-home care (IHC) settings
Fluency in Auslan is highly desirable
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem‐solving skills
