Job Description
Accountant (General) HOME AND LIFESTYLE OPTIONS INC t/a Halo Care, a Christian-based non-profit, has provided the community with services including aged care, mental health assistance, disability support, and respite services. We are looking for a full time (at least 38 hours per week) skilled Accountant to perform the following duties: Responsibilities
Monitor and assist with the formulation of the company's budgetary and financial policies while ensuring the accuracy and compliance of the company's business accounts and accounting records.
Analyse and review the company's financial performance and key data, while also examining operational costs and revenue streams, to provide insight into market forecasts and strategic financial planning.
Enhance accounting systems and methods, optimize reporting practices, and ensure that financial data accurately reflects the company's current financial situation.
Assist and advise on the preparation of financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, while also conducting financial investigations and audits for vital business decisions.




Plan and forecast cash flows based on trend analyses, ensuring effective cash flow management and risk minimization.
Managing monthly invoicing & and client statements in the aged care sector for programs such as CHSP, DVA, HACC and NDIS
Assist in the finances and claims of Support
At Home, National Disability Insurance Scheme, Commonwealth Home Support Program and Veterans Home Care
Carry out regular customer follow-ups, Revenue Reconciliations and client account reconciliations
Carry out the fortnightly payroll for the company including Pay Adjustments, Termination pays & Resolving queries by employees regarding payroll
Requirements
Relevant Qualification or 5 years of experience in lieu of the qualification.
The right candidate will have at least 1 year of experience
A can-do attitude and ability of working independently.
Excellent analytical skills, a quick learner and excellent problem-solving skills and teamwork and leadership skills.
