The Role
We are seeking a Workshop Technician to join our State Government client based in Toowoomba. This is a casual full-time prospect through to September, with the potential for extension.
The role supports the production and fit-out of mobile response trailers through hands-on workshop work, equipment installation, basic low-voltage wiring, painting, and general maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the assembly, modification, and fit-out of mobile response trailers.
Perform basic fabrication tasks such as measuring, cutting, drilling, and assembling components.
Carry out painting and finishing work on trailers and related equipment.
Complete low-voltage wiring, basic electronic tasks, and equipment installations.
Operate workshop equipment and hand tools, including grinders, saws, drill presses, and other general workshop machinery.




Conduct general workshop maintenance and housekeeping duties.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work workplace in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.
Support other workshop activities as required.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
Experience in a workshop, maintenance, assembly, or trade assistant environment.
Exposure to basic fabrication, mechanical assembly, or maintenance tasks.
Experience using hand tools and workshop machinery.
Basic low-voltage wiring or electrical installation experience is desirable.
Robust commitment to workplace safety and attention to detail.
A current C-Class Driver Licence.
