This role involves managing and growing a portfolio of small business customers by providing tailored lending and banking solutions, conducting regular reviews, and identifying prospects to support business growth.
The Small Business Banker will meet with customers in person, assess financial needs, prepare and process loan applications, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
The role includes collaborating with internal teams, monitoring market trends and local business activity,



and proactively engaging with the Bendigo business community to build strong relationships.
Daily responsibilities also include maintaining accurate records, using NAB's banking systems efficiently, and delivering a high standard of customer service.Qualifications Demonstrated experience in business or retail banking, with a focus on small business customers and lending solutions.Strong skills in financial analysis, credit assessment, and risk evaluation for small business portfolios.Excellent customer relationship management abilities, including communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with banking systems, digital tools, and standard office software to manage customer information and workflows.Knowledge of local business markets and the ability to identify growth opportunities within the Bendigo community.Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, business, commerce, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.Ability to work on-site, manage competing priorities, and collaborate effectively with colleagues across different teams.Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in the Australian banking sector.
