About the Role
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an essential role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our practice.
Your duties will include:
Greeting patients with warmth and professionalism.
Managing a busy appointment schedule.
Answering and directing a high volume of phone calls.
Processing Medicare, DVA, WorkCover and private billing.
Managing patient registrations and maintaining accurate medical records.
Receiving and processing referrals, pathology and imaging results, correspondence, and recalls.
Liaising with GPs, nurses, allied health professionals, specialists, and hospitals.
Processing EFTPOS and cash payments.
Assisting with general administrative duties to support the practice.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience working as a Medical Receptionist in General Practice (essential).




Experience usingBest Practice Software(highly desirable).
A sound understanding of Medicare billing and Eclipse claiming.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Outstanding organisational and time management skills.
The ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment.
Robust attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
A professional, compassionate, and patient-focused approach.
A positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
