About the role
Mario's Italian Restaurant is seeking an experienced Cook and Chef to join our passionate team in our Broadbeach, QLD location.
This is a full-time role where you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of authentic Italian dishes to delight our customers.
What you'll be doing
Preparing and cooking an array of Italian dishes from our menu, including pasta, pizza, meat and seafood dishes
Ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, presentation and hygiene are maintained
Working closely with the Head Chef to innovate and develop new menu items
Assisting in the training and development of junior kitchen staff
Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen workplace
What we're looking for
Minimum 12 months experience as a cook or chef in a similar restaurant
Formal culinary training or qualifications in commercial cooking
Certificate III Commercial Cookery qualification is required
Robust knowledge of Italian cuisine and cooking techniques
Minimum 2+ years experience working in an Italian restaurant is essential




Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
A passion for creating exceptional dining experiences for our customers
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure workplace
