We're a small, hands-on team based in Caloundra — not one apprentice among fifty.
Our senior cabinet makers have a decade-plus of experience each and will actually teach you the trade: hardware, machining, installs, the lot.
Hills has been family-run since , and every job that leaves our workshop has someone's name on it who's proud of it.
You'll be one of those names.
We're taking on a Cabinet Making Apprentice to learn the trade from the ground up — building custom wardrobes and joinery, working the CNC, edge bander and panel saw under supervision, fitting different hardware systems, and getting out on installs and deliveries.
You'll work towards a Certificate III in Cabinet Making with a registered training provider.




At completion: stay on as a qualified tradesperson in our workshop.
Or move into drafting if you've got an eye for detail and planning.
Or specialise in running machines — CNC and edge bander.
Or grow into a supervisory or management role as we expand.
What I am looking for:
Reliable, keen to learn, and a genuine interest in the trade.
Comfortable with physical work and protected use of hand and power tools.
Driver's license highly regarded.
White card held, or willing to obtain one.
Open to 1st-year school leavers as well as candidates with some prior trade experience.
