A.B. Paterson College invites Expressions of Interest from dynamic and knowledgeable educators to join our Supply (Relief) Teaching team.
These prospects are casual and offered on an on‐call basis to support teaching and learning across the College as required.
We are seeking passionate and adaptable teachers who are committed to delivering engaging, curriculum‐aligned learning experiences that encourage critical thinking and support students to achieve their personal best.
The ability to confidently step into classrooms and teach across multiple year levels, while responding to diverse learning needs, is highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver planned lessons and supervise learning activities in accordance with the classroom teacher's program, ensuring continuity of learning across relevant year levels.
Establish and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment, implementing the school's behaviour management policies effectively.
Support student engagement and learning by providing transparent instructions, encouragement, and assistance during lessons and activities
Monitor student participation and progress during lessons, leaving explicit and accurate feedback or notes for the regular classroom teacher as required.




Uphold the College's values, policies, and duty of care responsibilities, including supervision of students during breaks and transitions.
Adapt confidently to a range of learning environments, year levels, and subjects, responding positively to the dynamic nature of supply teaching.
What We're Looking For:
Demonstrated ability to step into classrooms confidently and maintain productive learning environments
A strong commitment to student wellbeing and academic excellence
Flexibility and adaptability to work across different classes, subjects, and year levels at short notice
Strong classroom management skills and clear communication with students and staff
Working knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and QCAA requirements
Up-to-date skills in the use of IT and other digital classroom resources
CurrentCPR and First Aid training, or willingness to obtain
Current Teacher Registrationis a requirement of this position
