You will keep our project and operational costs on track.
Working closely with our CEO, liaising with our external Accountant, and collaborating with our Project Managers and Construction teams, you will identify cost-saving opportunities, manage inventory, and provide a daily briefing on our financial and cash position.
What You'll Do Every Day
Partner with the CEO:Provide daily financial updates and practical insights to help guide decision-making.
Payroll:Process all payroll payments for our businesses.
Track Project & Job Costs:Monitor material, labour, subcontractor, and factory overheads against approved budgets.
Manage Work-in-Progress (WIP) tracking.
Keep Budgets on Target:Analyse actual costs against expected budgets to spot variances, highlight trends, and find cost-saving prospects.
Manage Inventory & Materials:Maintain accurate records of factory stock, investigate discrepancies, and handle inventory valuations.
Budgeting & Cash Flow Support:Assist with project budgets and cash forecasting so the team understands the financial impact of operational choices.
Month-End & Day-to-Day Processing:Smoothly handle cost journals,



bank/account reconciliations, and help prepare monthly figures for our external accountant.
Keep Systems Clean:Maintain accurate data within our systems and look for ways to streamline how we track costs using Excel and internal workflows.
Who You Are
A Savvy Numbers Person:You have a solid background in bookkeeping, finance, or transactional accounting, backed by relevant experience or qualifications.
Industry Experienced:You have 3+ years of experience, ideally within construction, manufacturing, modular building, or project-based environments.
You understand how physical inventory and jobs move.
An Excel Whiz:You are highly confident navigating Excel (Pivot Tables, formulas) to organise data clearly.
A Natural Collaborator:You can chat easily with the factory floor or project managers, translating numbers into explicit, practical updates.
Detail-Oriented & Proactive:You notice anomalies in data, love solving puzzles, and naturally look for ways to improve efficiency.
