The Opportunity
We are seeking experienced Special Class Welders (structural welding) to join our team on a major shipbuilding program.
This is an exciting chance to contribute to Australia's naval capability while enjoying excellent FIFO conditions, great pay rates, and long-term project security.
What's On Offer
Excellent rates with site allowances and per diems4 weeks training in SA, then 3:1 roster (3 weeks on, 1 week off)Paid travel time (4 hrs each way)Flights, shared accommodation & vehicle providedPer diem $89 per day,



capped at $353 per week + $40/day site allowanceHousing provided for long-term placements
About You
Must be an Australian Citizen (Defence requirement)Special Class Welder qualifications and experience in structural weldingDemonstrated experience in shipbuilding / naval constructionSkilled in high-integrity welding to AS and Defence standardsMust be willing to undergo a medical assessment and provide a clear Federal Police CheckMust pass a welding test prior to acceptance into the roleSafety-focused, reliable, and able to thrive in a FIFO setting
