Due to increased workload and upcoming leave within the team, they are looking to bring on an Accounts Assistant for an immediate start to support a busy accounts function.
The role will work closely with an experienced team of four and provide hands-on support across both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
The Role
This is a hands-on contract position suited to someone who enjoys processing, working through volume and keeping things moving.
You'll be supporting the wider finance team with day-to-day transactional accounting while helping ensure invoices, payments and reconciliations are processed accurately and on time.
Ideally you'll bring stronger Accounts Receivable experience, however candidates with a solid Accounts Payable background who are happy to work across both functions are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Processing customer invoices and supporting the Accounts Receivable function
Accounts Payable invoice processing, coding and supplier maintenance
Allocating customer payments and receipting
Assisting with account reconciliations
Following up outstanding debtor balances where required
Responding to internal and external account enquiries
Supporting month-end transactional activities
Providing general administration support to the finance team as required
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable position
Robust data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
Experience working in a high-volume processing setting
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
The ability to pick up new systems quickly
A positive, team-first attitude and willingness to help where needed
Immediate availability or the ability to commence at short notice will be highly regarded.
