Nutrilab is looking for aLaboratory Assistantto join our friendly team.No previous laboratory experience or formal qualifications are required– we will provide on-the-job training for the right person.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in agriculture, seed, soil or plant science, or anyone looking to start a career in a laboratory environment.It's also the perfect role for someone currently studying Agricultural Science or a related field, providing valuable hands-on industry experience while you study.
What you'll be doing
Assisting with seed, plant and soil sample preparation.
Weighing and processing soil samples.
Supporting laboratory technicians with daily testing procedures.
Sorting, organising and storing soil samples.
Helping maintain an organised, clean and efficient laboratory.
Washing and preparing laboratory equipment.
General laboratory support and administrative tasks as required.
We're looking for someone who:




Has excellent attention to detail.
Has an interest in science and agriculture.
Has an interest in seeds, plants and soils.
Is reliable and enjoys working as part of a team.
Can follow written procedures accurately.
Takes pride in keeping their work area clean and organised.
Is willing to learn and develop new skills.
Can perform light manual handling and spend time on their feet.
