Cut Coal Technology operates an AS3800 Electrical Overhaul Workshop in Mackay, providing engineering, design, manufacturing, and overhaul services for Underground Switchgear and Hazardous Area Equipment within the mining sector.
We are seeking an experienced AS3800 Workshop Electrician to join our skilled team and contribute to our reputation for excellence in electrical overhauls and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and Perform electrical overhauls, repairs, and maintenance on HV and LV power components and associated switchgear.
- Supervise and Perform electrical overhaul of Explosion protected equipment
- Ensure compliance with AS3800 and relevant industry standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in mining-related equipment.
- Work closely with engineering and management to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety and company policies.
About You:
- Electrical trade qualification with relevant industry experience.
- Experience working in an AS3800 Electrical Overhaul Workshop.
- Experience with high-voltage power systems, switchgear, and substations (preffered)
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
