Provide efficient, friendly customer service while operating the point-of-sale (POS) system, processing fuel and retail transactions, and supporting the day-to-day operation of the service station.
Ensure the store and forecourt are clean, well-stocked, and compliant with safety and cash-handling procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Greet customers and provide prompt, qualified service.
Process fuel, retail and other transactions accurately using the POS system.
Handle cash, EFTPOS, mobile payments, and reconcile tills at the beginning and end of shifts.
Monitor fuel pump activity and authorise fuel sales through the console.
Restock shelves, fridges and promotional displays, rotating stock to maintain freshness.
Prepare basic food and beverages in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards.
Maintain cleanliness of the shop, counters, coffee area, restrooms, and forecourt.
Monitor fuel levels and report equipment faults, spills, or safety hazards to management.
Verify identification for the sale of age-restricted products such as tobacco.
Respond to customer enquiries, complaints, and requests in a courteous and skilled manner.




Assist with stock deliveries, inventory counts, and merchandising.
Follow workplace health and safety, security, and emergency procedures, including responding appropriately to drive-offs or other incidents.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service is preferred.
Robust cash-handling and numerical accuracy.
Comfortable using POS systems and handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable, honest, and able to work independently.
Flexible to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
