Role Description This is a full-time on-site Solicitor role based in Townsville, QLD.
The Solicitor will manage a varied caseload, including client consultations, matter assessment, and provision of explicit, practical legal advice.
Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and reviewing legal documents, preparing correspondence, and representing clients in negotiations and, where appropriate, in court or tribunal proceedings.
The role involves conducting legal research, developing case strategies,



and collaborating with colleagues to ensure matters are handled efficiently and in line with firm standards.
The Solicitor will also contribute to building and maintaining client relationships and supporting the firm's commitment to accessible, high-quality legal services.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Law, including admission as a Solicitor or eligibility for admission in the relevant jurisdiction.Experience or demonstrated interest in Labor and Employment Law, with a focus on workplace rights and compliance.Skills in Conveyancing and Commercial Real Estate, including drafting and reviewing property and commercial documentation.Knowledge of Family Law, with the ability to manage sensitive client matters with discretion and professionalism.Excellent legal research, drafting, and analytical skills, with attention to detail and sound judgment.Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain complex issues in explicit, accessible language.Strong client service orientation, ability to manage multiple matters, and commitment to ethical and inclusive practice.Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law; prior experience in a private practice or similar environment is highly regarded.
