About the role
We're looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at The Wooli Tavern in Cape Woolamai, Victoria.
As Sous Chef, you will play a key role in supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day operations of our busy kitchen.
This is a full time position with opportunities for career growth within our organisation.
What you'll be doing
Assisting the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development and food preparation
Overseeing kitchen staff, delegating tasks and ensuring quality control
Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
Ordering supplies and managing inventory
Collaborating with the front-of-house team to ensure excellent customer service
Providing training and mentorship to junior kitchen staff
What we're looking for
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a rapid-paced restaurant or hospitality environment




Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices
Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
Ability to work well under pressure and lead a team
Creative flair and a passion for delivering high-quality dishes
Qualifications in Hospitality
