We are located in a busy shopping center of Caversham with a pharmacy and pathology collection center.
Our practice provides comprehensive general practice care to Caversham and the surrounding communities.
About the Prospect
We are looking for a friendly, compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our growing team of highly experienced doctors, registered nurses and administrative team members.
Must be available for rotating weekend roster as we are open 7 days a week.
This position plays a vital role in delivering a positive experience for our patients.
By liaising with patients, doctors and nursing staff, ensuring the smooth day to day operation of the medical center.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Excellent customer service, warm friendly welcoming manner
Manage incoming calls and respond to patient enquiries efficiently
Booking/Managing Appointments
Enter, update and maintain patient registration details
Medicare billing, generate and process payments




Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence
Maintain medical center in a clean, tidy and welcoming condition
Provide administrative support and perform adhoc administrative duties as required
Manage bookings and forms via online booking system
Essential Criteria:
Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Fluency with Best Practice software or similar
Good working knowledge of the Medicare, DVA and workers compensation Schedule.
Positive knowledge of medical terminology and health system
Flexibility to work a roster including weekends and cover extra shifts as required
Strong commitment to patient privacy and confidentially
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Prior general practice experience preferred
