We are seeking an IT Support Technician to join our team and help us to continue to ensure our systems are reliable, secure, and able to support the operational needs of a rapidly growing business.
This role is the central point of contact for all IT matters at Silentium Defence.
You will manage day‐to‐day IT operations, provide exceptional support to staff and contractors, maintain and evolve our IT infrastructure, and strengthen our cyber security posture.
This hands‐on, customer‐focused role requires solid technical capability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritise effectively in a agile workplace.
What You Will Do
Provide end‐to‐end IT and AV support to all people at SDPrepare, provision, and maintain IT equipment, accounts, and accessRespond promptly to helpdesk requests, resolving issues or escalating when requiredDevelop user‐friendly support materials such as wikis and how‐to guidesTroubleshoot system and network issues across Windows, Linux, MacOS,



and mobile devicesEnsure backups are performed and tested according to disaster recovery requirementsAdminister licensing and configurations for Microsoft 365, Atlassian, and other key applicationsManage vendor relationships for IT and network hardwareDevelop and maintain cyber security policies, controls, and risk mitigation systemsEnsure compliance with DISP, NIST, and other relevant cyber security frameworksReport regularly to management on progress, system performance, and key metrics
What You Bring
Tertiary qualification in IT, computer science, or a related disciplineAustralian citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 security clearanceRelevant qualification in cyber securityStrong capability managing Linux and Windows workstationsDemonstrated experience applying cyber security best practices
