Role DescriptionThis is a full time, on-site role based in Geelong or Melbourne, VIC responsible for producing accurate and detailed structural drawings and models using Revit and other design tools, in line with project specifications, standards, and codes.
Day to day tasks include preparing shop and construction drawings, coordinating with engineers and architects, updating BIM models, and resolving drawing issues and clashes.
The Structural Draftsperson collaborates with project teams to ensure documentation supports buildability, safety, and compliance, and maintains organised drawing records and revisions.




The role also involves contributing to continuous improvement of drafting processes and supporting junior team members where needed.
Qualifications
Solid proficiency in Shop Drawings and Technical Drawing, with the ability to translate engineering and architectural information into explicit construction documentation.
Experience preparing and interpreting Architectural Drawings and Structural Engineering details for buildings and infrastructure projects.
Hands‐on experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) using Revit, including 3D modeling, coordination, and clash detection.
Relevant qualification in Drafting, Civil/Structural Engineering, or a related discipline (certificate, diploma, or degree).
Knowledge of Australian building codes, standards, and construction practices.
Attention to detail, strong spatial and visual understanding, and the ability to manage multiple drawing packages and deadlines.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary project teams in an office setting.
Previous experience in consulting engineering or construction projects in regional or metropolitan settings is an advantage.
