Abbeyards Boarding Kennels is looking for an Animal attendant to join our Team!
The animal attendant's role is to consistantly provide the highest standard of care for our guests and maintain the pristine setting that Abbeyards is proud to be known for!
The position requires someone who can demonstrate their ability to control and care for all dogs from Chihuahuas to Excellent Danes.
Someone who flourishes in a busy workplace will suit this role perfectly.
This is a very dynamic, hard-working role and involves monitoring different dogs, ensuring their individual needs are met whilst also completing a variety of other maintenance and cleaning duties on our large property.
The successful applicant must be quick on their feet and be able to identify and complete tasks independently.
Kennel work is a 365 day a year job and busiest during school holidays/Christmas/Easter etc so flexibility is important.
Qualifications
We require someone with a very good work ethic and the ability to learn quickly with on the job training.
Previous cleaning work or Animal Attendant work a bonus but definitely not necessary.

Be able to be on the move all day!
Valuable at multi tasking
Be reliable and flexible (hours are subject to change).
Have a Valid Driver's Licence and own vehicle (we are in the Mudgeeraba bushland).
Able to safely lift and/or move up to 20kg.

Remuneration and Hours
Work Type: Permanent Part time
Tuesday :6:30am-4:30pm
Wednesday:6:30am-12pm
Saturday: 6:30am - 4:30pm
+10% Superannuation
Friday: 6:30am-4:30pm (The Friday shift will be added to your roster at the beginning of September)
Work is permanent part-time so holiday and sick pay is accumulated.
Abbeyards works under an EBA so weekend penalty rates do not apply.
