Plascorp, one of Australia's leading privately-owned national manufacturers and distributors of Industrial Ducting, Mine Ventilation, PVC Pipe and Steel re-enforcing solutions is looking for a Machine Operator to join their Bassandean manufacturing facility.
You will be responsible for assisting with the packaging and processing of reinforcing steel in accordance with production schedules.
If you have experience operatingShear Line, Bar cutting or coil machines, excellent!
But if you don't, we are happy to train you on the job.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
Operating Machinery (Shear Line, Opera, Nextra).
Assisting the team with meeting daily production expectations as per the production plan.
Assisting with machine maintenance.
Following all health, safety and quality management requirements.




Conducting pre-start checks on all equipment to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Use of an overhead gantry crane to move production.
Skills and experience required:
Sound mechanical aptitude and ability to use handheld power tools.
Experience using overhead cranes (preferable).
Knowledge of OH&S; standards and processes.
Forklift licence.
Excellent communication skills.
Previous experience in a steel manufacturing setting (preferable).
