Deputy Head of Secondary (Middle School Pastoral)
Deputy Head of Secondary (Middle School Pastoral) provides significant and visible support to the Assistant Principal (Secondary).
The role involves fostering an engaging learning culture and sense of belonging among students, staff and parents in the secondary school, leading and supporting the Heads of Year (Secondary) in relation to student management, and collaborating with the Assistant Principal to develop a rigorous and agile learning environment.
The Deputy Head also models and maintains the highest standards of professionalism within their team, and serves as a key leader in the school's pastoral strategy.
Responsibilities
Provide significant support to the Assistant Principal (Secondary) in all aspects of secondary school management.
Model and maintain high standards of professionalism and leadership within the team.
Foster an engaging learning culture and sense of belonging for students, staff and parents.




Lead and support Heads of Year (Secondary) in student management initiatives.
Collaborate with the Assistant Principal to develop and implement a rigorous, agile learning workplace.
Support the school's pastoral strategy and ensure the well‐being and development of all students.
Qualifications
Suitably qualified teachers with leadership experience.
Evidence of current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
Evidence of right to work in Australia.
Commitment to fostering high‐quality pastoral care and student support.
