About the Role

St Peters Lutheran College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher for our Upper Primary Learning Support program. This is an excellent chance to plan and deliver exceptional teaching whilst creating and providing an environment in which students can unlock their potential.

This Part-Time role will work closely with Teachers across Years 5 and 6 in providing assistance to students across these year levels up until the end of Term 4.

Key Responsibilities

- Assess students to identify needs before planning and preparing materials to address learning needs
- Utilising available methodologies to nurture students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities
- Ensure records, documentation, record keeping and Personalised Support Plans are maintained and up to date
- Collaborate with teachers and work closely with parents to ensure appropriate student support
- Assist with special provisions and excursions or camps as required
- Develop positive, respectful and supportive relationships with colleagues, students, parents and other members of the St Peters community.

What You Bring





- Current Queensland Teachers Registration with experience working to improve outcomes for students with learning needs
- A strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum, assessment practices, NCCD documentation and the ability to adjust and be flexible around work for students with learning needs
- Strong communication ability across all levels and excellent relationship building skills
- Collaboratively engaged in meetings, committees, Student Wellbeing and Pastoral Care
- Committed to the College's Christian ethos and values

St Peters Lutheran College (Indooroopilly) is a P-12 coeducational day and boarding college of 2,250 students. The Lower Primary with Years Prep-4 has three classes at each level. The Upper Primary provides a program tailored to meet the needs of students in Years 5-6. St Peters Junior High offers Years 7-9 students a program to support young adolescents. The Senior School provides a program for Years 10-12 with the International Baccalaureate Diploma offered alongside VET and QSA courses.
