Kaplan Business School (KBS) is seeking passionate sessional facilitators (lecturers) to join our Data Science & Analytics (DSA) discipline across our campuses in Australia. This is an opportunity for experienced data professionals to share their expertise with postgraduate students in a agile, workshop‑driven learning environment. At KBS, we pride ourselves on our commitment to student care, and we value facilitators who bring empathy, responsiveness, and a student‑centered approach to every interaction. As a facilitator, you will lead engaging, highly interactive workshops in accordance with the syllabus, assess student work using structured marking rubrics, and provide regular feedback that helps shape job‑ready graduates.
We are seeking dedicated individuals who combine academic credentials with hands‑on industry knowledge to teach at the postgraduate level. Ideal candidates hold a Doctoral‑level qualification, or a Master‑level qualification paired with substantial industry experience in one or more of the following technical areas:
- Applied Data Science & Analytics
- Data Visualisation and Communication
- The Business Analytics lifecycle
- The Strategic Value of Business Analytics
- Python for Data Science
- Data Security & Data Ethics
- Predictive Analytics & Time‑series based Forecasting
At KBS, we believe the best educators are those who practise what they teach. It is essential to us that candidates are either presently active in the industry or have accumulated sufficient recent work experience, because our commitment is to cultivate job‑ready graduates who have been taught and assessed in line with the expectations of their future employers.

- Mark assessments promptly and provide constructive, detailed feedback that supports student growth.
- Build professional, supportive relationships with a diverse student cohort.
- Provide mentoring to help students succeed academically and professionally.
Requirements
- Doctorate qualification directly relevant to the areas listed above (industry experience desirable), or Master’s qualification directly relevant to the areas listed above, with at least 5 years' relevant industry experience.
