Annual Placements

MEC NT have moved to an annual intake of Apprentices to align with the end of the school year, with successful candidates commencing in January

About the Role

As an Electrical Apprentice with MEC NT, you’ll work alongside qualified electricians across a variety of commercial, industrial, residential and remote projects throughout the Northern Territory. You’ll gain hands‑on experience while completing your trade qualification and developing the skills needed for a successful career in the electrical industry

Key Responsibilities

- Work alongside experienced electricians on real projects from day one.
- Develop practical electrical skills through hands‑on experience.
- Gain exposure to commercial, industrial, residential and remote works.
- Learn how to read plans,



install equipment and troubleshoot electrical systems.
- Build a nationally recognised trade qualification while earning an income.
- Be part of a supportive team that is committed to developing the next generation of electricians.

- Current Australian Drivers License
- Construction Induction (white card)
- Knowledge in OHS/WHS Requirements
- A strong work ethic and ability to work in remote environments (both independently as well as part of a team)
