Who we are Based in the City of Tea Tree Gully, Waterworld Aquatic Centre stands as a premier outdoor destination. We offer three heated pools-a 50m lap pool, a 20m Learner pool, and a Toddler pool-alongside expansive grassy areas, thrilling water slides, and captivating splash park attractions.

The role Randstad is currently seeking entry-level and experienced lifeguards for the upcoming pool season from October 2026 - April 2027 at Waterworld. With three pools and three waterslides, Waterworld welcomes patrons of all ages and abilities through a range of aquatic programs, events and activities. As a Lifeguard, you'll help create a protected, enjoyable environment for visitors while delivering excellent customer service and promoting water safety.

You'll help ensure visitor safety, promote positive aquatic experiences, and make a meaningful contribution to the community. If you're energetic, customer-focused and enjoy working with people,

This opportunity is open to individuals aged 16 years and above who can obtain their pool lifeguard qualifications. The role includes:

- Supervise pool and surrounding areas to ensure patron safety.
- Educate the public on the Watch Around Water Policy.
- Maintain a safe environment for all aquatic facility patrons.
- Respond promptly to emergencies as they arise.
- Report significant incidents to the appropriate personnel.
- Identify and report risks within Council premises.
- Maintain cleanliness of facility and aquatic areas.
- Availability on weekends is essential.

Qualifications

Lifeguards must possess or be willing to obtain the following certificates:

- Pool Lifeguard Certificate
- Provide CPR Certificate
- Provide First Aid Certificate
- Working with Children Check
- Child Safe Environments Certificate
