About Larrakeyah Health Centre
Larrakeyah Health Centre is located at the Larrakeyah Barracks in Darwin City. Larrakeyah Defence Precinct is a unique tri-service Defence base directly supporting ADF operations & training. It is the home port of HMAS Coonawarra for Navy Patrol Boats and two Army Landing Craft. The facility has a routine dependency of 1100 personnel which surges every 3 months to conduct pre and post deployment medicals.
The health centre provides primary medical, nursing, mental health, dental, physiotherapy and pharmaceutical services. Standard operating hours are generally 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements).
What you’ll do
- Keep the clinic running smoothly with fast,accurateclerical support
- Manage health records and data in line with Defence policieswhilstmaintainingprivacy
- Coordinate appointments and liaise with internal/external health service
What you bring
- Minimum of 1 year of full-time (or part-time equivalent) experience in an administrative role.
- Completion of a medical terminology course from a Registered Training Organisation (RTO),or willingness to complete
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Sound computer literacy and experience with electronic health record systems highly regarded.
- Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Defence Security Clearance
