What You'll Be Doing
The primary purpose of an Advanced Trainee – Stage 2 – 4 in Emergency Medicine is to provide advanced level of care in a complex clinical environment, whilst under supervision as part of the Stage 2–4 training program of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM).
Qualifications
MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
Minimum of 3 years full‑time equivalent postgraduate years and significant experience in an Australian Emergency Department or equivalent.
Has qualified as a Trainee – Stage 2 – 4 as per ACEM requirements or expects to have met the criteria by commencement of employment in February.
Demonstrated commitment to and satisfactory progress in the ACEM training program.
Effective communication, clinical skills, judgment and expertise.
Strong teamwork, time‑management and problem‑solving skills in the clinical setting.
Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
Evidence of continued professional development and a commitment to self‑education.
Willingness to teach junior medical staff and ability to work at facilities within the Network to deliver patient care.
