We're a small, close-knit team and we're growing. We're looking for an experienced HR Partner to own a portfolio of clients and be the senior advisor they rely on.

What this role actually looks like

The HR Partner is the person our clients turn to first. You'll own and grow your own portfolio of clients across a wide range of industries, embedded in each business as their trusted HR partner.

A lot of this work happens in the room: sitting alongside owners and senior leaders, on site, face to face and remotely, working through their people matters. Day to day, that means:

- Giving practical, decisive advice to business owners and leaders across the full range of HR matters
- Leading the difficult conversations, including performance management, conduct, terminations, restructures and disputes
- Getting to know each client's business well beyond HR,



so your advice is commercial rather than textbook
- Holding final approval on the advice, contracts, policies and documents our team produces for your clients
- Keeping your clients compliant with the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards and the Modern Awards that apply to their business and industry
- Mentoring the Coordinators and Administrators working on your clients

You’ll carry real responsibility, and you won’t carry it alone. We work as one team: you’ll be supported by and work closely with our HR Administrator, HR Coordinator, other HR Partners and our HR Director.

The team are always there as a sounding board and our Partners regularly jump into each other's clients when someone needs a hand or is away.

Who we're looking for

This is a senior role and we need someone who can hit the ground running:

- Hands-on experience as an HR Business Partner, senior HR advisor or HR consultant, with a real understanding of the people and operational issues businesses face (or similar, relevant experience)
- Confident giving sound advice in the moment, whether that's across the table from an owner or on a quick call with a manager, and knowing when something does need checking
- A strong working knowledge of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards and Contemporary Awards
- Comfortable working directly with owners and senior leaders,



and just as effective with frontline managers
- Able to have the tough conversations when they're needed
- A down to earth, practical nature and strong influencing skills
- A current driver's licence and reliable car, as you'll visit clients across Adelaide
- Someone who wants variety and autonomy, and does their best work owning things end to end

We're advertising this as an HR Partner role. For an exceptional candidate with the depth and leadership to match, we're open to appointing at Senior HR Partner level.
