Opportunity
We are seeking a Tender Engineer to join our growing Global Services team. Reporting to our Global Services Pre‑Sales Leader, you will prepare quotations and tender submissions covering the full range of our Critical Power Services activities, including Critical Power, Cooling, Installation, Testing, Commissioning, maintenance contracts, replacements, end‑of‑life disposals, and an expanding range of Digital Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Review customer RFQs, specifications, and tender requirements.
- Identify cost‑effective solutions to meet customer needs and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with local and international stakeholders regularly.
- Interact with customers when necessary, leveraging technical knowledge to provide solutions.
- Prepare tender documentation, including quotations, technical compliance, risk assessments, and approval documents.
- Prepare costing sheets to display cost and margin, ensuring minimum margin levels while respecting market prices.
- Prepare quotations within agreed timeframes that define the technical solution proposed, mitigating technical and commercial risks.
- Contribute to business growth in alignment with company strategy and ambition.
- Utilise ERP systems to process purchase orders and handover won projects to execution teams.
- Make domestic travel when required.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) with experience in a similar tendering role and exposure to Data Centers or mission‑critical environments.
- Hands‑on experience in tender management, preparing techno‑commercial offers, and operating with rigorous processes.
- Experience in supply, installation, and site testing of Critical Power and Cooling equipment and associated systems.
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, commercial conditions, and contractual requirements.
- Strong communication skills to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities at pace in a global organisation experiencing ongoing growth.
- Experience with Schneider Electric products and solutions (UPS, Cooling, Substations) is a plus.
