Profectus is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Test and Evaluation (T&E;) personnel to support the planning, execution, and reporting of T&E; activities across Defence (in particular) but also Australian Government environments. You will provide technical advice and hands‑on T&E; delivery across complex systems and capabilities, generating evidence‑based findings that support delivery and acceptance decisions in highly governed settings.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and assure test and evaluation strategies, plans, procedures, and scenarios
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct T&E; activities across the capability lifecycle
- Conduct integration and interoperability testing across systems, platforms, and networks
- Collect, analyse, and interpret test data to assess effectiveness, suitability, resilience, and risk
- Identify deficiencies and provide evidence‑based findings and recommendations
- Prepare high quality T&E; documentation, including test plans, reports, briefs, and technical artefacts
- Ensure objective quality evidence with traceability to requirements to support delivery and acceptance decisions
- Identify, analyse, and manage technical and operational risks, and recommend mitigations
- Provide authoritative technical advice to senior stakeholders and lead integrated test teams as required
- Engage with technical and non‑technical stakeholders while remaining accountable for outcomes, quality, and risk

Required Experience





- Demonstrated test and evaluation experience across complex systems and capabilities
- Experience in integration and interoperability testing across systems, platforms, and networks
- Sound understanding of test automation and modern delivery practices
- Strong test‑planning, execution, data analysis, and technical reporting skills
- Ability to operate effectively both independently and within integrated delivery teams
- Solid documentation skills and the ability to engage with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Experienced use of digital toolsets supporting T&E; delivery
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related discipline
- Experience working within Defence or Australian Government environments or on nationally significant programs
- Formal T&E; training or certification
- Understanding of cybersecurity and its impact on networked systems

Security Clearance Requirements

- Must be an Australian Citizen
- Must hold a current AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance (minimum)

Working Arrangements

- Onsite in Canberra (ACT)
- No flexible, remote working or hybrid arrangements possible.
