We are seeking compassionate, reliable and committed House Managers to support Residential Care Workers.
As a House Manager you will:
- Model Therapeutic, trauma-informed practice in all interactions with young people.
- Mentor and coach staff through regular feedback and reflective practice.
- Support the induction and development of new team members.
- Foster a positive team culture built on accountability, collaboration and respect.
- Identify staff support or performance concerns early and communicate these with the Team Leader.
- Work collaboratively with Child Safety, families and other professionals
- Respond appropriately to challenging behaviours and crisis situations
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the home to ensure it is safe, organised and welcoming.
- Ensure household routines are consistently followed.
- Ensure the home is maintained to organisational standards.
- Monitor the quality and accuracy of daily case notes and documentation.
- Monitor compliance with Sanctuary policies, Child Safety standards and legislative requirements.
- Draft and maintain the roster for allocated residential home, with final review and approval by Team Leader.
- Participate in the organisations on call roster.

Essential Requirements
Applicants must:
- Hold, be enrolled in, or be willing to enrol in a Certificate IV in Youth Work, Child, Youth and Family Intervention, Community Services or equivalent qualification
- Hold or be eligible to obtain a Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Hold a current National Police Check
- Hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or be willing to obtain)
- Hold a current Driver’s Licence
- Have access to a reliable vehicle for work-related travel
- Hold comprehensive car insurance
- Have a smartphone with internet access
