Role Description

NSW. The Security Officer will monitor and control access to the site, verify identification and credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate logs of all movements. Daily duties include conducting regular foot and vehicle patrols, inspecting gates, fences, and buildings, reporting hazards or security breaches, and responding incidents according to established procedures. The role requires clear communication with clients, colleagues, and emergency services, completion of incident reports, and adherence to company policies and legal requirements. The Security Officer will also provide a visible security presence, support crowd management when required,



and assist in emergency evacuations and safety drills.

Qualifications

- Current NSW Security License (relevant class) and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in gatehouse operations, access control, and mobile or static patrols.
- Strong observational skills, situational awareness, and ability to identify and report risks promptly.
- Clear, professional communication skills for interacting with the public, clients, and emergency services.
- Ability to write concise incident reports and maintain accurate logs and records.
- Capacity to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays as required.
- Good physical fitness to perform regular patrols and respond quickly to incidents.
- Must be a local resident of Dubbo, NSW.
- Knowledge of basic security procedures, emergency response, and workplace safety practices.
- Previous experience in cash-in-transit, crowd control, or static guarding is advantageous.
- Commitment to gender-neutral, non-discriminatory conduct and respectful interaction with all individuals.
- Must have RIW Card ( Working Safely in the Rail Corridor)
