Located within the highly prospective Tennant Creek Mineral Field, this opportunity sits with one of Australia's growing gold producers, focused on developing and operating high-quality gold assets in the Northern Territory.
With underground operations continuing to ramp up, this role offers the opportunity to take ownership of underground mine planning and scheduling activities while influencing production outcomes, mine design and future development.
Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, you will lead underground mine planning activities to support the safe, effective and sustainable delivery of production objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead underground mine design, planning and scheduling activities
- Develop production forecasts, budgets and performance reports
- Support stope optimisation and production improvement initiatives
- Provide technical leadership across underground mining operations
- Incorporate ventilation and operational requirements into mine plans
- Monitor plan compliance and identify opportunities for optimisation
- Support drill and blast planning and underground production activities
- Work closely with operational teams to achieve production targets.

About You
- Bachelor of Mining Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years' underground hard rock mining engineering experience
- Strong capability in mine design, scheduling, budgeting and production forecasting
- Experience with underground mine planning, stope optimisation, ventilation and drill and blast
- Advanced proficiency in Deswik and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong technical leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
Requirements
- Current Australian C class driver's licence
- National police clearance issued within the last six months
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
