We are searching for an experienced and motivated Chef to join our fast-paced kitchen operations at our 'Beaudesert Cafe And Restaurant' in Beaudesert, QLD. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your cooking expertise and creativity in a fast-paced hospitality workplace. As our Chef, you’ll bring flavor, care, and consistency to every plate. Your job is to deliver great food, maintain our standards, and be part of a team that makes every guest’s visit memorable.
About the role:
- Create: Cook and plate our menu to spec, with care in every detail
- Keep it clean: Maintain a tidy, safe kitchen that passes every health check
- Stay stocked: Track inventory so we never run out in a rush
- Work as a team: Support the crew to get food out fast and right
- Be flexible: Adjust recipes for allergies, diets, and guest requests
- Own quality: Make sure every plate leaving the kitchen looks and tastes great
- Play it safe: Follow all food handling and safety procedures
- Get creative: Pitch new dishes and help evolve the menu
- Lift others: Mentor juniors and share your skills
- Handle the rush:
Thrive during peak breakfast and brunch periods
To be considered, you need:
- Proven professional work experience as qualified chef (minimum 1-2 years).
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery recognised in Australia (or higher)
- Food Safety Certificate, or willingness to obtain.
- FIFO experience in a high-volume kitchen environment (desirable).
- A positive 'can do' attitude.
- Strong teamwork, communication skills, and ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, and WHS requirements.
- Valid National Police Clearance within the last 12 months.
- Full working rights in Australia.
