Property Contracts Specialist

Wangaratta, VIC | Temporary Part Time (30.4 hours per week until Aug 2028) | $51.40 per hour + super

Step into a high-impact role where you'll lead the transformation of Council's property leasing and licensing function. As a Property Contract Specialist, you'll play a key role in ensuring Council's property portfolio is effectively managed, compliant and positioned for future success.

In this diverse and strategic role, you will:

- Manage and negotiate lease and licence agreements across Council's property portfolio.
- Ensure all agreements remain current, compliant and aligned with relevant legislation and policies.
- Partner with solicitors, valuers, tenants and internal stakeholders to deliver positive property outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement across leasing and licensing systems, processes and service delivery.
- Identify opportunities to optimise property assets, improve utilisation and maximise revenue.
- Coordinate land and property transactions, including acquisitions and disposals.
- Monitor lease income, rental reviews and property performance to support sound decision-making.
- Resolve complex property matters, including land ownership anomalies and tenure issues.
- Provide specialist advice and strategic recommendations on leasing, licensing and property management matters.
- Support the effective use of Council-owned and managed land to deliver both commercial and community benefits.
