The Opportunity

To support our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Estimator to join our team. This role will play a critical part in preparing accurate, competitive and commercially sound estimates and tender submissions across Hussey Corp’s multidisciplinary projects.

This is a Monday to Friday role based at our Head Office in Cairns, with travel to project sites as required.

About the Role

The Senior Estimator leads the estimating process from initial opportunity review through to tender submission and project handover, ensuring scope, methodology, labour, materials, subcontractors, plant, logistics, commercial risks and project conditions are properly assessed and incorporated into each submission.

We’re looking for someone who has:

- Extensive experience in a senior estimating role within construction, mining, infrastructure or industrial services.
- Demonstrated experience preparing complex, multidisciplinary estimates and tender submissions.
- Strong knowledge of civil, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical or building project delivery.
- Strong commercial awareness and experience reviewing scopes and contract conditions.
- Experience estimating remote and FIFO projects across Queensland and the Northern Territory.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using estimating or project management software.
- Relevant qualifications in engineering, construction management, quantity surveying or related discipline.
