Role: Senior Security Engineer
Location: Melbourne
Contract Duration: 6 to 12 Months with high possible extensions
Experience: 7+ Years
Required Skills & Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in network security, cloud security or infrastructure security roles.
- Robust experience with one or more major firewall platforms (e.g. Palo Alto, Cisco FTD, Juniper, Checkpoint).
- Solid hands-on skills in routing & switching and Cisco ACI architecture (e.g. OSPF, BGP, VLANs, port channels, VRFs).
- Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g. AWS, Azure)
and CI/CD or DevOps security practices.
- Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with automation tools (Terraform, Python, Ansible) or scripting for security use cases.
- Strong capability in driving automation and AI-enabled capabilities within network security engineering, leveraging scripting, APIs, and intelligent analytics to streamline operations, enhance threat detection, and improve delivery efficiency.
