Our client, a renowned consultancy specializing in transmission and distribution (T&D;) substations and lines, renewables, and the mining industry, is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer - Power and Earthing Systems to join their dynamic team in Perth, Brisbane, or Melbourne .

Responsibilities

As the Senior Engineer - Power and Earthing Systems , you will:

- Provide expert engineering services to deliver exceptional project outcomes.
- Conduct advanced power system studies, including arc flash analysis, protection grading, short circuit analysis, and load flow studies, using DIgSILENT PowerFactory.
- Design, analyze, and evaluate earthing systems using CDEGS to ensure safety and reliability.
- Perform precise cable sizing calculations using CYMCAP to optimize system performance.
- Collaborate with clients, project stakeholders, and cross-disciplinary teams to achieve project success.
- Ensure the successful delivery of large-scale projects in the energy, utilities, mining, and renewables sectors.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to support knowledge sharing and team development.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, standards, and technologies to drive innovative solutions.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need:

- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Significant experience in power system studies, including arc flash analysis, protection grading, short circuit analysis, and load flow studies.
- Demonstrated expertise in earthing system design and cable sizing methodology.




- Proficiency with industry-standard software tools such as DIgSILENT PowerFactory, CDEGS, and CYMCAP.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on complex projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- A successful track record of delivering complex, large-scale projects in the energy, utilities, mining, or renewables sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
